Biography

...Well, I always thought bio's were boring so I'll try to keep this short. I don't know of anyone who reads them anyway.
Let's see...what are the essentials? Ummm....I'll be 17 in July of '98, living in the United States of America, in the state of California and the urban city of Los Angeles. I came here from Armenia (it's in outmost west Asia) around 5-6 years ago. I'am a junior at John Marshall High School, my GPA is 3.6+, I'm not sure what exactly, I don't really care. I am a proud member of the Marshall Swim Team -no I'm not good but I love it; the Marshall Mountaineering Club -it rocks! need I say more? and MESA...that's for smarty-pants.... That's all that matters right? what we love, not what we are perfectionists at.

I have heard that thinking is good and encouraged. Well, not to show off or anything, I think. No, I don't mean that as a complement to myself...on the contrary. I think too much. My thoughts oftentimes get very ahead of me, causing me to reread pages, and causing my loss of consentration. I don't have a license yet but watch out! I'm sure I'll be a recless driver...going under all those red lights...

This part's lame but my favorite teachers are; Mr. Tardiff, Ms. Scully, Mr. Navarro and Mr. Chase.(Forgive me if I've ommited other important ones)

Mr. Tardiff is my Spanish teacher but I swear, that guy should teach ethics instead. He is cool, he has inspired me the most, he likes thinkers...you should see the arguments he brings up. I think I'm the only one who disagrees with him on some points and argue with him about them. That's why I believe he enjoys having me in his class...even though I'm not his best student.
Then there's Ms. Scully. She's my AP English Language teacher. I think she's around 24-26, so she's a pretty young teacher, but a pro at what she does. She has improved my language skills so much. Now me speak Inglish very good! She's the type that prefers to take life as it comes,(I think) no need to worry about the future much, after all, we might not even be around then. By the way, she's from Ireland.
Mr. Navarro is married with a child. He's BALD...I personally can't see what his wife saw in him. Did I mention he is my chemistry teacher? No? good, you are better off not knowing. Mr. Navarro is very funny and brings life back into the class....ever heard of fun math? Anyway he's cool he even helped me with my SAT's...you see, I had a wire connected to him...he told me the answers. Thanx to him, I got a 1650 on my SAT's...or is that even possible?
Mr. Chase is my AP U.S. History teacher. He graduated from UCLA and coaches a basketball team called City Force, teaches, writes, and is the coach of the Academic Decathelon team at Marshall. Under him, the team has won the Nationals. ALL RIGHT MR. CHASE!! The guy has so many perverted jokes! He just needs a girlfriend. I argue with him too...mainly on Communism. Wanna know what real communism is??? I believe that the ideals presented by communism are very truthful and noble. However, Communism requires too much sacrifice and is very easily corruptable. Therefore, most forms of Communism cannot survive. I only support Communism ideally, if in any event, a newly spawning nation were to choose Communism as the basis of its government, I would not support it one bit for I know that it is a matter of time before civil war due to corrupt leaders and unfulfilled promises. Although there are cases where Communism has and still is being used successfully. I don't think I need to go into details as to how...ponder upon it, then ask me.

In march of '98, I was at Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. I won this essay contest on the American way and its preservation. A few were selected and were interviewed. Out of all those interviewed, 5 of us from Marshall were chosen to participate in the all expenses payed trip. The program was about making the American youth aware of the history and function of this country. Sort of a seminar for future leaders...at least according to them.
I would like to thank Mrs. Frith for bringing the Freedoms Foundation to Marshall; Mr. Wren and Mrs. Larritson (they're married) - our chaperons; Mrs. Mekjian who interviewed me along with Mrs. Larritson; the whole of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation; and Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.

We belong to death and death belongs to us, the work of man lives on immortal.
